Best Buy Adventure

Up early to pack in some last minute studying for that looming Astronomy test. I can't remember the last time I took a multiple choice test...must have been in high school. Surprisingly hard. Isn't Astronomy supposed to be that joke science class that Seniors take when overloading. Guess not. After the test I headed straight back to Poppa (where I have decided I should have my own nameplate above one of the computers since I seem to have taken up permanent residence there).

Distracted by odd errands, like ordering PPE lunch (why do 10 pita sandwich orders take 15 minutes to relay over the phone?!) and regulating a convo between Mother and P, P came up with an even better distraction: TV shopping. The idea of escaping the silent computer lab for the overwhelming stimulation of 50 LCDs seemed brilliant. Plus, who doesn't like helping other people spend money! The bad-breathed salesmen hooked P up with all the gadgets to accompany his new Sony Bravia 26' LCD. A quick set-up and voila...the marvels of modern technology and a not-so-good-looking crime scene eyewitness in high def.

After dinner it was a nice chat with Gatto, a short 21st celebration, and then back to Poppa. Hours of thesis research later, I was heading back to the apartments (in fact, I was all the way back at the apartments) before I realized that my keys and ID card, both of which attached to thumb drive were still plugged into the computer in the lab. Ugh. The walk back was pretty peaceful, so much so that I caught myself talking to aloud to myself about ways to market the Washington D.C. Program. Wow, I'm such a nerd. And now, it is time for bed. 9 AM keeps getting closer...
